Professional Experience

Plexamedia — SEO / Support Manager

02/2021 – Present

I have been working for Plexamedia for 5 years. I started as an intern while I was in college and rose to a full time support team member after a year and a half as I finished school. I took over our support department in 2023 and have been running it since! As our support manager, I work with customers everyday solving their issues and updating their sites, while delegating to our designers. I also help manager all of our servers, work on custom plugin solutions, and building new sites

Websites That I Have Built

ryanlyons.dev

This site that you are currently on. This is my portfolio site, which I originally built using UIkit 3.14.0, then adapted to my own styling.

DRIVE Out Hunger Project

This is my sister's website that she uses to promote her work in helping combat food insecurity. I helped give her site a redesign this year and we launched it at the beginning of June! I used the free version of Elementor and built a WordPress theme to supplement the areas that Elementor Free was not able to handle, like the mobile popout menu.

Custom WordPress Plugins

These are some WordPress plugins that I wrote to solve issues I was facing while managing.

CPT Manager

Create, Toggle, and Delete Custom Post Types modularly.

Bulk ACF Editor

Bulk edit CPTs and their ACF fields in one spot.

Outbound Link Tracker

Written to give some less technically inclined clients the ability to see at a quick glance their link analytics on their site. You can pick out date ranges, and quickly reset to the most recent week of data.

Visitor Data

Tracks hits with custom date ranges.

One By One Replace

Search for strings or Regex with optional case sensitivity and replace specific occurrences within any CPT.

Lockdown

Password protects the front-end and allows admins to block specific roles from the backend.

Redirect

Create and Edit 301 redirects.

Post Powers

One-click duplication and post-type switching for Posts, Pages, and CPTs.

User Details Plus

Adds registration date / time and source to the users page.

Gravity Forms Subject URL

Very simple plugin designed to be dropped into the WordPress mu-plugins folder on multisites so I could track where stray notifications were coming from.

Email PHP Error Notifier

Monitors for fatal PHP errors and emails a report once a day to specified emails.

Bulk Set Featured Image

Sets a default featured image for specific post types if none is set.
